Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.

* Assembles, repairs, maintains and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings.

* Conducts routine visual inspection of HVAC units, replaces filters and identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to Manager.

* Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Manager.

* Performs custodial tasks.

* Cleans oil and water spills around molding machines to keep trip and slip hazards

* Assists with structural pest control measures.

* Monitors facility maintenance inventory and supplies.

* Assists with special events, as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Ability to operate all equipment in the department.

* Working knowledge of good hygiene and sanitation practices.

* Good communication skills.

* Ability to work well with others.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

* One (1) year of relevant work experience preferred.

Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements:

* Exposure to machine noise.

* Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.

* Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.

* Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.

* Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.

* This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
