JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer provides the necessary link between customer requirements and manufacturing processes. Develops and improves manufacturing methods, applies lean concepts and techniques to optimize processes.
REPORTING TO
Engineering Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
- Utilizes technical instructions to develop specifications for customer products.
- Maintains engineering change control for customers part drawings and requirements using MRP software and Engineering Vault software.
- Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of contracted customer orders.
- Utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to aid in design and manufacture of tooling and machine components.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots mechanical issues or failures to identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Performs a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
- Assists in preventative maintenance planning and effectiveness for production equipment.
- Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernized production/processing equipment and monitors equipment upgrades and improvements.
- Continuously monitors operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
- Assists with PFMEA, control plans and new project schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong technical and analytical ability.
- Project management and organizational skills preferred.

- Team-Oriented
- Manufacturing experience with focus on process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
