Located in the Easton, PA area, this contract opportunity is for skilled Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to support Extended School Year (ESY) services with Bucks County Intermediate Unit 22. These positions serve multiple locations within Bucks County, including Doylestown and surrounding cities, with a focus on providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver itinerant and center-based TVI services to students in various school settings
  • Collaborate with classroom teams to integrate visual impairment accommodations into instruction
  • Manage caseloads and individual education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe visual impairments
  • Participate in orientation and related services set-up prior to ESY sessions
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality throughout the ESY instructional period
Qualifications and Desired

Experience:
  • Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification is required
  • Ability to work with students who have moderate to severe needs and behaviors
  • Reliable transportation with residency within 35 minutes of the assigned school site
  • Availability to commit fully to the ESY schedule, June 29 - July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams
Additional Requirements:
  • Must comply with a one-year break policy if previously employed with the client through another agency
  • Submit application materials including full name, city of residence, resume with highlights, proof of licensure, and one supervisor reference
  • Respond to screening questions regarding credentialing, availability, commute, and readiness for this role
Schedule and Locations:
  • ESY services primarily occur Monday-Thursday, student hours 9:00am to 2:30pm
  • Total hours range between 12 to 24 per week depending on site assignment
  • Locations include Lower and Central Bucks County areas with efforts to match candidates to nearby schools
