On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2310) s is an On-Demand role where you can work a flexible schedule by picking up shifts posted by store leaders or other team members through the myTime app. You are expected to respond to shift opportunities and meet attendance requirements to remain active in this role.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard and greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Assist guests in a welcoming manner, help solve their specific needs, and be knowledgeable about tools, products, and store services to improve guest experience.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Know and promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Explain how to use Wallet and other features in the Target App.
• Handle returns following register prompts and escalate to leadership as needed to resolve guest concerns, while adhering to Target policies and procedures.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience when necessary, in line with Target policies.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
• Assist with cash handling and, as needed, cash office processes; comply with safety and training requirements.
• Support other duties based on business needs, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., adult beverage laws where applicable).

• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently or as part of a team

• Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexibility to pick up shifts to meet store needs, with a requirement to work at least one shift within 5 months or administrative termination may occur
• Ability to work in varied temperatures and environments for roles such as Drive-Up or Carryout
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
