American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position working day shifts with every-other-weekend requirements and a 1:5-6 patient ratio.

• 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit functioning as an observation unit with quick patient turnover
• Patient population includes chest pain, abdominal pain, UTI, renal (peritoneal dialysis), and trauma/ortho cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with lower acuity patients
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend required; 4 weekends per 4-week scheduling cycle
• Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units as needed, including a sister facility in Chestertown (typically rare)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• RNs on the unit are responsible for clamping/unclamping and documenting peritoneal dialysis exchanges; exchanges are initiated by dialysis nurses
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any time-off requests should be communicated at the time of initial consideration

• Active Maryland (MD) or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI (CPI training available on-site during onboarding)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
