Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least one year of experience for a night shift contract requiring a MD or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Work on a Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shifts with options for either 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Every other weekend is required; 4 weekends in a 4-week schedule cycle per contract
• Holidays worked as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units, including to a sister facility as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Royal blue scrubs are required for all shifts
• Supportive team environment with floating to assist as needed
• Onboarding includes completion of CPI training
• Holiday coverage is mandatory as assigned

• Active RN license for Maryland or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• CPI learning module to be completed during onboarding orientation
• Minimum of one year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
