Gen Pastor

The Next Gen Pastor extends the mission of Eastpoint Church to Kids, Youth and Young Adults by leading the staff and ministry leaders in these ministries and pastoring families, students, young adults, and volunteers.

• Minimum of two years of experience preaching regularly
• Minimum of two years of leading in a next generation ministry context
• Demonstrated ability to identify, equip and empower volunteer leaders to disciple students and young adults
• Ability to preach Christ from all the scriptures and apply the Bible to students in engaging ways
• Experience with large camp ministry or event planning
• Spiritual Maturity: models lifestyle of a passionate, maturing follower of Jesus.

Develop and lead a thriving missional student community by leading a volunteer staff of disciple-makers. Manage both the administrative organization of the ministry, as well as relational and preaching ministry.

Lead and equip staff leaders to strengthen a discipleship-oriented ministry that supports, partners with and assists parents in discipling their children.

Create a thriving community where young adults are being formed into mature, godly and responsible adults. Create a culture where young adults plug into the discipleship strategy of the church.

• Create and train a network of relational mentor figures who intentionally engage with young adults in discipleship relationships.
• Develop a calendar of connection points where young adults can gather and grow together.
• Prayerfully select young adults who you can disciple in a Discipleship Group.
• Lead a thriving community of students through a volunteer staff of relational disciple-makers.
• Consistently identify, equip and empower a growing volunteer base across all Next Gen teams.
• Plan and execute excellent and dynamic weekly student ministry gatherings, that includes expositional preaching, musical worship, and relational connection.
• Create in-roads into the public school system for your team to engage withs tudents in their world.
• Plan and lead regular student ministry team trainings and appreciation events.
• Plan and execute two youth camps per year.
• Maintain consistent connection and communication to equip and inform parents of students.
• Implement the discipleship strategy of the church into student ministry.
• Equip and empower student leaders to serve and lead among their peers.
• Work with other Next Gen Staff to facilitate transitions between ministries.
• Connect with students, parents and volunteers on Sunday mornings.
• Manage student ministry budget.
• Be an active and participating staff member of Eastpoint Church, excelling in designated ministry lanes but also contributing to the organization as a whole.
• Be present at set-up and tear-down for Next Gen Ministries as needed.
• Actively pursue and engage with students and young adults.
• Participate in Sunday classes as needed.
