Floor Tech

Position: Floor Tech (Full-time)
HOURS:

Full-time, Hours vary. Some weekend work required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs routine cleaning in assigned areas following established schedules and prescribed methods.

• Ensures that all common areas and patient rooms are cleaned according to established standards.

• Cleans all fixtures, walls, floors, vents, and lights as required by established schedules and prescribed methods.

• Performs basic floor care using dry or wet mops, floor scrubbers and vacuums.

• Empties trash containers following a prescribed cycle from common areas and patient rooms.

• Removes medical waste and bio-hazardous trash following established safety, containment, and infection control procedures.

• Assists with setting up for special events, meetings, seminars, educational/training programs, and other assignments according to work orders.

• Moves furniture and supplies as requested in works orders.

• Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.

• Keeps janitors' utility in good order.

• Promotes team work daily, communicates and reports problems and concerns to the Manager.

• Performs other related job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED state certification or similar demonstrated ability preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Floor cleaning experience desired but not required.
