STEM Teacher

Halifax County School is seeking an innovative and hands-on STEM Teacher to inspire students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The ideal candidate will create engaging, project-based learning experiences that develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned STEM instruction
• Develop and implement project-based and inquiry-based lessons
• Guide students in hands‑on experiments, coding, robotics, and engineering challenges
• Integrate technology and digital tools into instruction
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
• Foster teamwork, creativity, and problem‑solving skills
• Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
• Communicate with parents, colleagues, and administration
• Participate in professional development and school events

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or Education (Science, Math, Engineering, Technology)
• Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction teaching license (Grades 6–12 or applicable grade band)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for hands‑on, interdisciplinary teaching

• Experience teaching STEM, robotics, coding, or engineering courses
• Familiarity with NC STEM standards and curriculum frameworks
• Experience with after‑school STEM clubs, competitions, or makerspaces
