Role Overview :
Theroleinvolvesabroadrangeofduties,includingelectrical-relatedtasks,compliance testing,firesafetychecks,andgeneralfacilitiesmaintenance.
Whileelectricalexperienceisessential,particularlyinrewiringandbasicelectricalworks,theroleiswell-suitedtosomeonelaterintheircareerorsomeoneseekingarelaxedenvironmentwithplentyofroomfordevelopment.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Tasks:
Lighttesting,basicrewiring,faultfindingandrepairs. Compliance&Safety:
Conductcomplianceandsafetychecks,includingfiresafetytesting(firedoors,alarms). Facilities Maintenance:
Generalfacilitiesworksuchasminorrepairs,paintingandplantequipmentmaintenance. Laboratory&Specialist Support:
Assistanceinlaboratoryandotherspecialistfacilities. Ideal Candidate:
Previousexperienceinelectricalmaintenance(Level2/3inElectro-technical
Technology
Installationorsimilarqualificationspreferred). Exposuretofacilities-relateddutiesorwillingnesstolearn. Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam. Flexibleattitudewithgoodinterpersonal,organisational,andcommunicationskills. Comfortablewithsomemanualworkandminoralterationswithinbuildingspaces. Thispositionwouldbeperfectforsomeonelookingtoworkinamorerelaxed,supportive environment.
Whileitdoesnotrequireafullyqualifiedelectrician,experienceinbasicelectricalworksandsafetychecksisessential. Salary&Benefits:
Grade5:
Startingsalarybetween £32,000 £ 36,498(progressionavailable). Grade6(potentialuplift): £34,000 £ 39,000. Incrementalsalaryincreasesbasedonbusinesscasesubmissions. Developmentopportunitieswithapprenticeshippathwaysavailable. Development&Opportunities:
