HGV Driver​/Jet Vac Operator

We are seeking a HGV Operative to join our busy Eastleigh Depot.

• Rate of pay: £31200 - £35360 (£43,000) dependent on experience and inclusive of overtime

• Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
• Reporting all findings / data to the appropriate teams
• Assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots).
• Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
• Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.

• You’ll need a UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and a Class 2 HGV
• CPC is desirable
• You will hold an up to date CSCS card (desirable)

You’ll already be familiar with high pressure jetting equipment, but you may not have drainage experience. That’s OK — we’re happy to train you to the appropriate standard. A high pressure water jetting certificate would be good, but it’s not essential. We will also train you to assist our Jet Vac and CCTV team.

You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. And you’ll love working outdoors.

Being flexible is essential too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours call-out rota.

This is a full time position with overtime potential; regular training (including our own City & Guilds qualifications)
