IT Support Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our client on a short‑term contract, providing high‑quality technical support across multiple sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and supporting users in a busy environment.

• Install, maintain, and support IT hardware, software, and related equipment
• Deliver customer‑focused IT support to users at all levels
• Troubleshoot incidents, resolve technical issues, and maintain accurate service records
• Assist with the installation of racks, cabling, sockets and network‑connected devices
• Support system administration, infrastructure tasks and project work
• Manage the IT equipment lifecycle, including deployment, upgrades and decommissioning
• Liaise with third‑party suppliers to ensure SLAs are met
• Produce clear documentation including technical notes, procedures and configuration updates
• Contribute to the out‑of‑hours support rota when required
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection and internal IT policies

• 3+ years’ experience in IT Service Delivery
• 5+ years supporting IT hardware in a complex environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Active Directory
• Experience supporting data and communications networks
• Confident with desktop builds, imaging and ongoing maintenance
• Good understanding of IT security principles and best practice
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
