About the Role
We are seeking an English Intervention Tutor to support GCSE students through focused small‑group work.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about raising attainment and building confidence in Key Stage 4 learners.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering targeted English interventions to small groups of GCSE students
Supporting learners with reading, writing, literature, and exam preparation
Working collaboratively with the English department and pastoral teams
Monitoring and feeding back on student progress
This is a 3‑day‑per‑week position running immediately until May 2026.
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience teaching or tutoring English at secondary level
Strong understanding of GCSE English expectations
Ability to deliver engaging, structured, and supportive intervention sessions
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A positive, flexible, and student‑centred approach
QTS is welcomed but not essential if you have proven intervention experience
