About the role

The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in helping the Environment Bankmeet its strategicobjectivesaroundintegrationand data reporting. This position is development focused, working closely with teams across the business to streamline data pipelines and improve task efficiency.

This individual will focus on setting up automated ETL workflows, analysing data and producing visually appealing and user‑friendly reports, and supporting internal and external stakeholders fulfil their data requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaborativelyon the development of our centralcloud‑baseddata platform(Snowflake)
  • Develop and maintain

    ETL and data integration tools fordataflows and pipelines
  • Create andmaintainreports and dashboards for a variety of audiences around the business, and the underlying data platform environment
  • Innovate and streamline existing dataintegrations and processes byidentifyinggaps and improvements,and designing solutions
  • Mentor and upskill team members
  • Provide dataand platformrelated technical support across the business
  • Create,maintain,and updatedocumentation

Essential
  • Self‑starter with curious mindset, a desire to help colleagues through problem solving and learning new skills

  • Experience with ETL and data platformintegrating(Microsoft Power Platform ,Azure,APIs, custom codeintegrations)
  • Experience with Snowflakecloud data platform and the development environment
  • Experience visualising datausing dashboards to communicate toa variety of audiences(e.g.Streamlit)
  • Strong understanding of data management, version control (Git Hub) and quality assurance/ quality control
  • Strong attention to detail, timemanagementand organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently aspartofafully remoteteam
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in arelevant or related field (e.g.Computer Science, Data Science,Mathsetc.),or equivalent professional experience or qualification
Desirable
  • Experience with in the ecologyor environmentalsector, with anawarenessof Biodiversity Net Gainand naturerestoration
  • Understanding of spatial data integration
  • Experience with our otherwidersystemsarchitecture(e.g.Hub Spot, Asana, Azure, and others)
