Maintenance Technician (Fabric) – East Kilbride – £40,000

East Kilbride, Glasgow G74
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

Shifts:

Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00

About the Role

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician (Fabric) or Fabric Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large multi-tenanted site in East Kilbride.

You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the building fabric and general facilities within a modern commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on building fabric and site infrastructure.

* Undertake general repairs including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, painting and decorating.

* Respond promptly to breakdowns and building defects, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.

* Complete minor installations, refurbishments, and remedial works across doors, ceilings, flooring, fixtures and fittings.

* Support mechanical and electrical teams as part of a multi-skilled maintenance operation.

* Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and accurate completion of site documentation.

Requirements

* Relevant trade qualification or NVQ/City & Guilds in Carpentry, Plumbing, Building Maintenance or similar.

* Proven experience in a commercial or critical building environment.

* Strong fault-finding and general fabric maintenance skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.
