CAD​/CAM Operative

Connect Appointments are recruiting a skilled CAD/CAM Operative to join our client's growing team in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in the design and manufacturing process.

Working as a CAD/CAM Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
• Converting CAD designs into CAM programs for CNC machinery
• Testing and simulating designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs and programs.
• Troubleshooting issues with designs, programming, or machinery
• Working closely with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency
• Working with other teams to implement any changes to drafts as soon as possible
• Conducting research - when required

To be successful in this CAD/CAM Operative position, you'll have previous experience working in a CAD/CAM role, along with being proficient using software such as AutoCAD and Solid Works.

Other key skills, traits and experience include:

• A completed course in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - beneficial
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal
