Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to coordinate and carry out daily maintenance tasks such as repairs and inspections on all NCYF properties.
DutiesThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and facilities of NCYF are kept in good working condition by developing and implementing maintenance procedures and processes, planning and managing all repair and installation activities, and carrying out inspections of all NCYF facilities to identify and resolve issues.
The NCYF Maintenance Technician will ensure the constant availability of required materials and equipment, monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary, manage relationships with contractors and service providers, and track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
Other responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are to ensure health and safety policies are complied with, provide necessary training to the managers at each NCYF facility, and update maintenance logs and report on all daily activities.
The Maintenance Technician is required to maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations, and must provide on-call support as needed, as well as any other duties assigned or requested by supervisor.
QualificationsProven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role
Experience in planning maintenance operations
Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
Ability to keep track of and report on activity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma or equivalent;
Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage
Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus
Approved CORI & DCF background checks (preformed by the EEC)
Approved driving background check
Valid driver's license
