Lathrop Community, a Kendal affiliate, is seeking an allied health professional (RN, OT, PT, LSW, SLP) or someone in a related field to join our team as the Director of Wellness and Safety (DWS). The DWS is responsible for overseeing and managing Lathrop’s wellness department, safety, and risk management, continuously improving resident community life and the quality of Enhanced Services and support.
The DWS will help develop the wellness vision and its implementation so that all residents may thrive spiritually, socially, intellectually, and physically. They will maximize a resident’s level of independence, function, and engagement while aging in community, oversee Lathrop wellness support staff in accordance with Lathrop policy and core values, and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
This is a full-time (40 hours each week) exempt position, offering an annual salary range of $88,000–$93,000.
Essential Functions- Supervision of the wellness program, risk management, and compliance programs.
- Continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Partnership and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Providing education and training, attending conferences, and engaging in continuous professional development.
- Representing Lathrop at professional meetings, networking opportunities, and community organization meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health (RN, OT, PT, LSW, SLP) or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience.
- Experience in case management or related field with older adult population, including demonstrated skills in assessment, planning, and evaluating support plans.
- Organize and maintain electronic files, including use of Office
365 Suite and other relevant systems. - Demonstrated leadership/supervisory background.
- Skills in quality assurance, safety, and compliance in a residential or healthcare setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to obtaining CPASRM certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- A strong commitment to quality care and service and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults.
- A valid Massachusetts Driver’s license with motor vehicle driving history clearance and criminal history clearance.
