SEN Casework Officer

We are seeking an experienced SEN Casework Officer to join our team and manage a high-volume caseload. This role is ideal for a confident, organised, and knowledgeable professional who can work collaboratively with schools, families, and wider services to support children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of 500+ children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Work within an allocated area patch, taking responsibility for a group of schools.
Lead and coordinate the Annual Review process, ensuring compliance with statutory timelines.
Oversee Phase Transfer processes, providing clear guidance and timely decision-making.
Build effective working relationships with schools, families, and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate case records and demonstrate excellent workload management skills.

About You

Experienced in SEN casework, within a local authority setting.
Strong understanding of EHCP processes, Annual Reviews, and Phase Transfers.
Exceptional organisational and caseload management skills.
Confident communicator with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
