Overview
As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will lead and support the day-to-day operation of the bar, restaurant, and conference & events operations areas, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service while supporting and mentoring Supervisors and Food & Beverage team members. You will assist with rota planning, payroll, and staffing levels, oversee event set-ups and contribute to the smooth running of conferences, meetings, and banqueting, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
You ll handle guest feedback professionally and promptly, support stock control, ordering, deliveries, and equipment maintenance, and help deliver sales and service initiatives that drive revenue. As part of the management rota, you will complete Duty Manager shifts and deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager when required.

Responsibilities- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality or Food & Beverage, demonstrating the ability to lead high-performing teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and people-management skills, with the confidence to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- A decisive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operational standards, food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing requirements.
- Meticulous attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Competent IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Conference & Events or large-scale events is desirable.
- Coaching/mentoring experience is desirable.
- Food Safety Level 2 or Personal Licence Holder is desirable.
- Experience with XnPOS and Opera Cloud systems is desirable.
- Hospitality or leadership qualification is desirable.
