The Deputy Manager role at Alice Court Care Home in Eastbourne offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to join the award‑winning team at Avery Healthcare. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person‑centred care home, ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors while meeting stringent professional and statutory standards.
Mainduties of the job
- Providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
- Ensuring adherence to medication policies and procedures and reviewing medication administration.
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans.
- Completing monthly audits and quality indicator reports, as well as any other required reports.
- Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas in the home.

- Have a minimum of two years of experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.
- Have excellent leadership and management skills.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and be competent in the use of IT systems.
- Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
