Job Description
Are you a qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist ready to make a real, positive impact on another person’s life with an interest in also supporting those with hearing loss? If so, we invite you to join us in East Sussex meeting the needs of our local community through personalised and rehabilitative methods.
A Vision Rehabilitation Specialist can make a real difference to a person’s life by changing how they see the world and fulfil tasks that really matter. You will undertake social care assessments in line with current and relevant legislation, particularly the Care Act 2014. This will enable you to identify and provide specialist rehabilitation services to adults experiencing significant visual loss, including daily living skills, orientation and mobility, communication techniques and risk assessments.
WeAre Looking For Candidates Who Have
- Effective communication, organisation and planning skills.
- Rehabilitation skills (orientation & mobility, daily living).
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the main issues in working with adults with visual impairment and additional complex needs.
- Commitment to professional development and engagement in sharing learning and expertise with others.
