Hourly rate: £12.60 – £14.13 (London). Rate increases after 6 months.
No previous experience required – full training will be provided.
About The OpportunityAs a Trainee Dispenser you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services.
While completing your NVQ2 trainee training you’ll greet customers, dispense prescriptions, ensure the safe sale of medicines, and provide advice to support informed health decisions.
This role is based in a store within the UK; remote applicants are not considered. Candidates outside the UK must confirm UK qualifications and right to work.
Key Responsibilities- Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme training.
- Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply (ordering, labelling, endorsing, collecting).
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Stay up‑to‑date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
- Support patients in managing their prescriptions, ensuring reliable repeats and promoting adherence while reducing waste.
- Desire to learn and complete the NVQ2 Dispenser training programme.
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
