Teaching Assistants Required (Primary Schools)

Location: Various Primary Schools within Swale Academies Trust Eastbourne
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: As soon as possible

Do you have a genuine enthusiasm for helping young children thrive in their learning? Swale Academies Trust is seeking motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work across our primary schools.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teachers and work directly with pupils to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. This role is ideal for those with experience in education who want to make a positive and lasting contribution to primary education.

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
• Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
• Assist with classroom preparation and resources
• Support pupils social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and well‑organised classroom environment
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required

• A positive, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience working with primary‑aged children is desirable
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential
• Flexible, proactive, and reliable
