Document Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Document Controller you will play a vital role in managing project documentation and ensuring that all project-related documents are accurately recorded, stored, and accessible to the project management team. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

You will report directly to our Project Manager and work out of our HMD, Eastbourne, East Sussex location.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of project execution by ensuring that all documentation is properly managed, facilitating seamless communication among project stakeholders, and supporting compliance with project standards and regulations.

• Document Controllers are responsible for managing the flow of documents between the customer and HMD.
• This is done either by way of Doc Boss or by other means such as Outlook or the customer’s portal.
• Managing the transmittals of documents (incoming and outgoing), including chasing internal disciplines for returned CRS and revised documents.
• Managing Doc Boss and the project’s folders.
• Creating and maintaining the shop floor documents via Teams.
• Compiling test results and uploading them digitally after completed tests in the shop.
• Daily filing of 3.1 material certificates to the network location.
• Compiling 3.1 material certificates following the correctly completed and supplied build sheets.
• Creating Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).
• Reviewing the Document Controller email inbox.

• Strong administrative background.
• Experience in Document Control.
• Highly organised and able to manage own workload.
• Excellent communicator: listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Quality consciousness and excellent attention to detail.
