Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join a developing service Virtual Ward, working closely with the Urgent Community Response service within the Community Health and Integrated Care Division at EDGH on a 7 day service, covering weekdays and weekends. The post holder will provide support across the Interface Services. The Interface Services include several teams comprising Therapists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Integrated Support Workers.

Together the Interface Services provide urgent and timely support to patients in their own homes in order to prevent unnecessary hospital admission, or alternatively provide additional assessment and support to facilitate a timely hospital discharge for patients in hospital.

To help support service cover from 8am to 10pm Monday to Sundays. Hours to be agreed on succession of interview.

Responsibilities
  • Provide valuable administrative support to Interface Services teams, including answering phones, managing the ordering of uniform, clinical stock, PPE and office supplies.
  • Manage staff personnel files and support data extraction and contribution to daily reports.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to staff as required.
  • Work closely with administrative colleagues, Team Leads and Service Managers to contribute to efficient and effective processes across the services.

The Interface Services include teams comprising Therapists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Integrated Support Workers that deliver urgent and timely support to patients in the community and hospital settings.
