We are seeking multiple highly skilled and NETA-certified Field Service Engineers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrical testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on power distribution systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, switch gear, and protective relays. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced field environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low, medium, and high-voltage electrical equipment in accordance with NETA standards.
- Conduct electrical commissioning of new and upgraded power systems.
- Test and calibrate protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, and switch gear.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, such as power quality analyzers, insulation resistance testers, and thermal imaging equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure proper system functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in power distribution systems and equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing test results, findings, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and team members as needed.
- Travel to client sites for fieldwork, sometimes on short notice.
- NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power systems, and industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NFPA 70E, etc.).
- Experience working with relay protection schemes and control systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as Doble, Megger, Omicron, or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in various field environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
