About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Controls Manager to join the Sizewell C (SZC) Project, one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. This role sits within the Civils Works Programme (CWP), overseeing multibillion‑pound sub‑programmes and ensuring world‑class project controls across schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting.

You’ll lead a team of project controls professionals, drive innovation, and ensure integrated performance management information is delivered to enable successful project outcomes. What you would be responsible for…
  • Own and continuously improve Programme Controls across major sub‑programmes.
  • Manage a team covering cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting. Over time, your leadership responsibilities may extend further as the programme evolves.
  • Implement best practice principles for integrated project controls.
  • Assure outputs from multiple project controls functions and liaise with supply chain partners.
  • Support the Head of Civils Works PMO and deputise when required.
  • Deliver high‑quality performance reports and drive digital innovation in project controls.
What we’re looking for…
  • Degree or equivalent in business analysis, finance, engineering, or project management.
  • Proven track record in project controls leadership on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management, and risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with earned value analysis and project controls systems (Power BI experience desirable).
  • Membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar (preferred).
Why join as a Programme Controls Manager?

  • Impact:
Your work will directly contribute to the UK’s energy security and sustainability goals.

C. Our vision is Lead The Way On Nuclear.

The Sizewell C team is one of the most exciting and largest new mega projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. We have begun constructing a 3.2‑gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast in the East of England replicating, wherever possible, the design used for Hinkley Point C, another nuclear power station being built in Somerset.

When built, Sizewell C will be one of the largest power stations to operate in the UK. The power station will generate low carbon electricity for at least 60 years, supplying over 6 million homes and supporting around 7% of the UK’s current electricity needs.

Our vision is Lead The Way On Nuclear. We want Sizewell C to define what good leadership for the nuclear industry and British infrastructure looks like and deliver on it. We understand the feats of organisation, logistics, collaboration and imagination that building nuclear requires. We are building for the next…
