SummaryProvides security for hospital property, personnel, patients, and visitors. Ensures proper handling of any situations that arise. Assists the Director in the day-to-day operations of the Department.
Job Duties- Assists in the developing, refining, and maintaining of the hospital wide security program.
- Ensures all security officers are properly trained and equipped to perform duties.
- Investigates and resolves issues involving security department employees.
- Provides leadership and direction to security officers.
- Participate in the hiring process, including interviews, phone calls and review of experience.
- Perform employee reviews and evaluations.
- Conduct investigation as assigned.
- Approve payroll and handle scheduling of staff.
- Work with Law Enforcement on joint exercises and participated in community events as assigned
- Maintain and review officer's training records to keep certifications up-to-date.
- Bachelor’s Degree or
- 4 years demonstrated leadership experience in a security or law enforcement role.
- 4 years Security or
- 4 years Law Enforcement or
- 4 years Military Experience
- Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities, and activity in the work environment.
- Demonstrates an understanding of hospital safety programs.
- Knowledge of all areas of security operations and the role and duties of security officers.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Supervisor Certification IAHSS - State of Pennsylvania within 90 Days
Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
