As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients home/school/service location daily, following the prescribed treatment plan and providing behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client.
Set boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency on your services while also providing support to parents and adult professionals. Educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and ensuring culturally aware and competent service provision.
- Provide one-to-one behavioral health services to children and adolescents aged 2-24 with identified emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.
- Work under the guidance of a Behavioral Consultant to implement treatment plans.
- Travel to clients home, school, or service locations daily to deliver interventions and enforce treatment plans.
- Set boundaries with clients and families to prevent dependency and promote independence.
- Educate and train parents/young adults to use skills and provide positive reinforcement.
- Deliver culturally aware and competent services.
- Ability to pass PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances and at least one of the following:
- Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
- Two years of prior Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
- High School diploma or equivalent and completion of the 40-hour RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete within the first 10 days of hire; paid training time).
- Minimum of 2 years experience providing Behavioral Health services.
