Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Airfield Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor grounds and facilities through routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor directions.

What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
* Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
* Control access at gates and entry points by checking credentials, verifying authorization for restricted areas, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
* Perform vehicle and delivery screening as directed by post orders, including verifying shipping and receiving documentation and routing drivers to designated areas.
* Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels when assigned, and report system issues or abnormal activity per site procedure.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance, documenting actions taken, and supporting arriving responders.
* Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift reports using written and/or electronic reporting tools.
* Communicate professionally with site leadership, contractors, and coworkers to support security-related operations, including relaying policy reminders and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
* Observe for policy violations related to restricted materials, photography limitations, and controlled areas, and report concerns to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
