Overview
In September 2022, Stellar Manufacturing was acquired by Leslie's as an affiliate. Stellar Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer of solid particle products and specializes in chemical processing services such as specialty tableting, compaction granulation, and granular filling. We support the manufacturing of a variety of consumer and industrial products including water treatment chemicals, janitorial and sanitation products, agrochemicals, raw materials, and more.

Job Overview:
As a Packaging Associate, you will support safe and efficient production by packaging finished goods according to established instructions and quality standards. This role involves inspecting products and packaging for accuracy and quality, operating packaging equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Pull finished goods off the conveyor belt to fill boxes, cartons and pails following packing instructions on the bill of material. Run job per instructions/work orders and ask questions if instructions are not clear.
- Visually inspect finished goods and remove broken or damaged product.
- Visually inspect each container for print color, package quality, wrapper quality and printing quality. Follow reporting steps if quality issues are visible.
- Perform a count or weigh each carton, container or pallet to ensure the proper amount and product is packaged; place product literature in container, close and seal, and place container on a pallet or in staging area.
- Operate a casing machine to seal containers, shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets and regrind mill as applicable.
- Record information such as weight, time, date and complete identification tickets.
- Understand plant labeling requirements and ensure all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Drug screen required
- Chemical manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 5:15 AM – 3:45 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
