Commutable from Hull , Bridlington , Beverley , Driffield, York , Doncaster, Grimsby, Scunthorpe , Lincoln, Selby

RATE: £28-30 ph Ltd Co ( outside IR 35) PAYE + hol pay also available

THE ROLE :
This is a 6 month freelance opportunity to work as a Civil Engineer / Clerk of Works. This is a site based role working Mon - Fri - 45 hours pw

The successful candidate for the Civil Engineering / Clerk of Works role will be working client side, however, it is not essential that you have worked for a client / consultancy previously. Applications are welcome from Civil / Site Engineers who have previously worked for contractors. As this role is working for a Consultancy the Engineer will not be required to be responsible for setting out on site

It is essential that candidates have worked in a Civil Engineering related role on highways / drainage projects

The duties for the Civil Engineer / Clerk of Works role will include regular inspections of the ongoing work on site and liaising with the contractor and other stakeholders

One of the main tasks will be to manage the technical queries on site raised by the site construction team. This will not involve necessarily answering the queries but the management of the process including extensive liaison with the external design team and the client. Therefore good IT skills are essential
