East Ridge Middle School is seeking a Physical Education, Health & Wellness Teacher who is committed to ensuring that all students thrive. The teacher will deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in physical education, health, and wellness; build a productive classroom culture; set high expectations for student growth; and support the overall well‑being of all learners. The successful candidate will model HCS instructional priorities and contribute positively to school and district goals.

• Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Tennessee State English Language Arts Standards and establish clear learning targets and lesson plans for every lesson. Build rigorous and aligned assessments and consistently implement high leverage literacy practices. Follow Hamilton County Schools’ instructional framework, including:

• Professional Responsibilities: Actively participate in professional learning communities (PLCs) with colleagues to improve teaching and student learning. Reflect on instruction and leadership while contributing ideas, expertise, and time to the mission and goals of the school.
