Assume clinical responsibility in the Adolescent Inpatient Unit, caring primarily for patients aged 11‑18. May float between Adolescent Psych, Children’s Psych, and ASD/IDD Psych units. Work with a 1:9 patient ratio to provide individualized, therapeutic care.
Provide psychiatric nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, and facilitation of therapeutic groups.
Refuse, perform and manage restraints, seclusion, and involuntary or voluntary statuses as required. Attend comprehensive on‑site restraint and de‑escalation training.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, specifically with patients ages 4‑18.
- Ability to handle patients in restraints, seclusion, involuntary status, and voluntary status.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
- Willingness to receive training in restraint and de‑escalation techniques.
- CPI certification is preferred.
