Overview
Corporate Accounts Payable (CAP) is a global operations function that supports 42 countries. This role is on the Global Indirect Tax team which encompasses Business Personal Property, US Sales & Use Tax and US Information Reporting and Withholding. This role includes partnership with Global compliance and Risk partners and Tax specialists across the Bank as well as partnership across the rest of Corporate Accounts Payable to better integration with our payee set up and invoicing teams.
This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving our tax compliance and operational efficiency. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working with tax and financial data, and can communicate complex processes clearly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support process improvement initiatives, and ensure day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) operations run smoothly.
- Review of vendor invoices for accuracy of sales tax, Federal and State withholding and tax reporting
- 1099 reporting
- W9/W8 validation
- Tax research questions
- Participate in special projects
This role does not involve client interactions but may require communication with internal employees.
ReportingThis contractor will report to the hiring manager however will take daily direction from senior team members.
Qualifications- Tax and Accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly document and present processes
- Manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
