ABOUT USEast Point Convention and Visitors Bureau (EPCVB) serves as the destination marketing organization for the city of East Point, GA to drive economic impact through tourism. POSITION SUMMARYThe Sales Manager is responsible for driving tourism to promote the City of East Point as a world-class destination to group markets. This individual supports sales and marketing strategies to generate leads and secure bookings; manages accounts; and forges partnerships with the hospitality community of the City of East Point and neighboring destinations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Support and implement internal sales and marketing strategies
- Manage sales accounts, details and bookings
- Apply sales strategies to identify, target and solicit groups for potential business
- Prospect, generate lead sources for continued business funnel
- Make sales calls to prospective and existing clients
- Qualify leads to include identification of group schedule
- Send leads to hotels, venues, services providers etc. and execute follow-up
- Create and present bid presentations
- Distribute definite booking information
- Coordinate and conduct site visits
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and hospitality partners
- Serve as the intermediary between clients and hospitality partners
- Represent EPCVB at trade shows and related events (coordination of hospitality partners; setup/breakdown etc.) as directed
- Produce and maintain listing of hospitality partners, providers, etc.
- Manage programs, projects and expenses according to company guidelines
- Maintain a positive working relationship with EPCVB members, partners and clients
- Document account details and activity in CRM
- Maintain current knowledge of member hotels (inventory), venues, restaurants, providers and attractions
- Attend EPCVB, member, and hospitality related events as directed
- Maintain active participation with assigned professional organizations
- Provide additional support to department projects and related EPCVB programs as directed
- Stay up to date with hospitality industry trends, development and news

- Education – College diploma or equivalent, will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Work Experience – Minimum 5 years of experience in convention and tourism related sales
