On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2824) – role  Starting Hourly Rate is $16.00 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $16.00 USD - $24.00 USD per hour.

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).

If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule. Afterward, the myTime app is used to pick up shifts.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their needs and assist with products and services available in the total store and area.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to direct guests to enroll, activate and use them.
• Educate guests on using Wallet and other Target App features.
• Handle returns by following register prompts and partnering with leaders as needed.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies.
• Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate safety, ethics, and compliance; follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders, and returns with compliance to laws.
• Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
• Other duties based on business needs.

Core skills include effective communication, staying composed in a fast-paced environment, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to use multiple devices and scanners. You will work independently and as part of a team.

• Accurately handle cash register operations and cash office tasks as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Be flexible with shift availability (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Engage actively by picking up and working shifts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or be administratively terminated.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments; stay mobile for the duration of shifts.
