Security Analyst – Cloud

Position Overview

Conduct security control compliance reviews for Enterprise IT applications, ensuring alignment with organizational security standards and industry best practices.

Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity principles for applications and platforms.

Identify vulnerabilities and provide effective remediation strategies to mitigate risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into system and application development life cycles.

Utilize tools like Service Now and Azure Dev Ops for workflow automation, ticketing, and project tracking.

• Review and assessment of architectural artifacts (e.g., architecture diagrams) for compliance to security policy and identification of risks and potential areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with peer Cybersecurity professionals in the assessment of IT solutions for security posture.

Working with global internal business partners. Will be working with main team of about 8 people and interacting with teams across the business on specific cases.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Associate's degree required in IT or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands‑on IT Architect experience, including 2–3 years in cybersecurity.
• Prior experience/roles include IT Architect, Cloud Architect would be ideal.
• Those with P.H.D.’s are likely overqualified.
• Persons with prior roles exclusively in Security & Vulnerability Operations, Incident Response, GRC organizations — would not be ideal candidates (Desired).
• Demonstrated expertise in developing IT solutions utilizing secure enterprise architectures using industry standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800‑53/800‑171, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls & Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
• Prior role as a Network Security Architect/Engineer.

Soft Skills (Required):

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to document and communicate highly complex technical solutions in an easy to understand manner.

Disqualifiers/Red Flags:

• No relevant working experience.

Entry Level

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $50.00/hr.
