Description
The Global Security team has implemented new tools into their environment which has heightened their standards on incidents and thus created a significant increase in the daily number of incident reports that the Security Analysts on this team need to respond to. In order to effectively manage the high volume and prioritize risk and potential threat levels they need to utilize automate processes.
They write scripts in Python and while everyone can help create scripts, there is a specific team of 3 individuals that review, critique, re‑write and approve all scripts that go into their environment.
This position would include the following:
Job functions- Establishing scripting standards and processes (e.g. pep8 standards and code review processes)
- Working with other scripters/teams for a common goal
- Primary contact for new script creation
- Working with automation via APIs
- Providing support for existing scripts
- Tactical script development when necessary
- The person should be highly familiar with Python 3, but 2.7 is also helpful.
- Powershell is handy, but not required.
- They should have a good eye for detail, be able to anticipate failure points, and have good logic skills.
- IT Security would be a plus but is not essential for this position
- Database experience (high level SQL)
- Webserver experience
- Batch Scripting experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $35.00/hr.
