The Speech-Language Pathologist carries out speech and language instruction within a student’s individualized educational program (IEP) for Aspire Public Schools. The role provides services to students with IEPs in an inclusive environment and collaborates with school sites, Special Education staff, Aspire staff, and outside consultants/district personnel as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide direct, individual and/or small group instruction to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP
- Collaborate with team members, parents and related service providers for reviewing student data, ensuring IEP implementation, co-planning and/or co-teaching
- Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs for students who qualify for Related Services per California educational codes
- Screen, assess, and provide specialized speech and language services aligned to Common Core and English Language Development standards
- Create and maintain records, files, and reports as required by federal, state, and SELPA regulations
- Maintain knowledge of current regulations pertaining to special education and meet IDEA requirements related to case management
- Maintain high academic rigor for students with disabilities by developing instructional materials and strategies for the general education setting to ensure equitable access to standards
- Implement health and mobility supports (1:1 in classroom, toileting needs, health-related needs under nurse supervision, and assist with mobility and stretching/exercise routines)
- Input weekly IEP service tracking and meet all IEP timelines
- Develop progress monitoring tools and share regularly with staff and parents for team decision-making
- Communicate with parents about student progress and collaborate to gain input
- Collaborate with outside providers as needed with parent consent
- Provide oversight and support to SLPAs
- Master’s Degree
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology School Services credential or California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing or Certification of Clinical Competence
- 1+ years of experience working with students in a school setting
- Work authorization:
Clear the Department of Justice background screening; authorized to work in the United States; TB health clearance renewed every four years

Salary range for this position is $96,017 to $162,879, based on years of experience.
