THE ROLE:ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE
We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to become the backbone of our financial operations. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health that powers our mission-driven work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Transform daily bookkeeping activities into opportunities for organizational excellence
- Master the reconciliation of bank statements and financial accounts
- Support our accounts payable and receivable functions with precision
- Contribute to successful monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Help create financial reports that tell the story of our impact
- Maintain the organized financial documentation that keeps our operations running smoothly
- Collaborate across departments to solve problems and streamline processes
- Uphold our commitment to compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support audit processes with confidence and attention to detail
- Ensure we meet all Medicaid and funding source requirements
- Contribute to tax processes that keep our organization compliant
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience including internships
- Quick Books and Microsoft Suite proficiency, especially Excel
- Eagle-eye attention to detail and stellar organization skills
- Clear communication that bridges financial concepts to non‑finance team members
- Integrity in handling sensitive information
- Problem‑solving abilities that thrive in our fast‑paced environment
- Strong foundation in bookkeeping principles and practices
- Understanding of GAAP guidelines and accounting regulations
- Collaborative teamwork approach
