The Contract Furniture Design Manager plays a pivotal role in the pre-sales and early project phases of Dream Seat’s Contract Furniture Division.
You’ll work closely with Sales and Design to specify, quote, and help design contract furniture solutions, transforming conceptual ideas and client needs into clear, actionable scopes.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connecting dots between people, ideas, and details. We are looking for a leader who can interpret ambiguity, organize complexity, and help build a scalable contract furniture operation from the inside out.

Pay: $70,000-$100,000
What You’ll Do- Turn sales or client feedback into defined project scopes and quotes, even when details are incomplete.
- Build, track, and refine pricing packages across multiple manufacturers, ensuring accuracy, margin protection, and alignment with client budgets.
- Serve as the communication bridge between Sales, Design, and Vendors, ensuring alignment on specs, finishes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Follow up with vendors for pricing, freight, and lead times. Keep projects moving forward and teammates accountable.
- Anticipate needs and spot gaps such as missing info, design conflicts, and cost risks early. Resolve them before they become issues.
- Help shape how Dream Seat manages quotes, handoffs, and data flow as we scale our contract furniture operations.
- Hold yourself and others to a high standard for accuracy, service, and follow-through.
- 3–7 years of experience in contract furniture, dealership operations, project management, or interiors.
- Hands-on expertise with CET and Project Matrix / Spec (required)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines without dropping details
- Strong financial literacy; comfortable reviewing costs, margins, and freight
- Excellent communication skills. Clear, concise, confident, and proactive
- Willingness to travel as required for project assignments (infrequent, 5-10% annually)
