Retail Sales Associate

Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 3761 s is a full-time role with the opportunity to earn commission in addition to the hourly wage. Pay rate: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures and maintain the sales floor (cleanliness, stocking, and merchandise displays).
• Process sales and loans in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items as per company procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training and perform other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties that may require standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; strong desire to serve customers and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred; able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed.

• Commission:
  Potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance (details provided during interview).
• Unlimited commission potential above hourly base rate; earnings may also include an additional average of up to $1.38 per hour from commission.

Position summary:

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate supports both lending and retail functions and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. This role involves working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
