The East Moline Police Department serves more than 21,000 residents with:
- 38 sworn officers plus 5 civilian support staff.
- Specialized divisions including:
Investigations, Crisis Containment Unit (SWAT), School Resource Officers, K-9, Community Oriented Policing, Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG), Traffic, QC Mobile Field Force (Crowd Control), and a Special Operations Unit.
Applicants must complete:
- Physical Agility Test
- Written Examination
- Interview before the Fire & Police Commission
Qualified candidates will be placed on a two-year hiring eligibility list.

Physical Agility Standards:
Bench press, sit-ups, sit-and-reach, and 1.5-mile run (age/gender-based standards apply). Bring valid wear clothing appropriate for physical activity. Time will be provided to change before the written exam.
Starting Wage: $67,965 annually, Year Three: $72,987 annually and so on based on contract, Full Benefits Package Includes:
