Experienced Arable Operator – 1,000 Acre Potato Farm - East Lothian – £16–£17 per hour / circa £45,000 per annum + 2 Bed Farm Cottage Available

We are seeking an experienced Arable Operator to join our progressive 1,000‑acre potato enterprise based in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well‑established and forward‑thinking farming business with modern machinery and strong team values.

• Combine operation during harvest
• Potato harvesting operations
• Planting and cultivation work
• Irrigation setup and management
• General machinery operation and maintenance
• Supporting day to day farm activities as required
• Modern equipment experience is essential and a strong understanding of arable systems particularly potatoes would be highly advantageous.

• Winter months:
  Monday to Thursday
• Summer months:
  Daylight hours, with longer hours required during peak and harvest periods
• Flexibility during busy periods is essential.

• Proven experience in arable farming
• Competent combine and harvester operator
• Experience with planting and irrigation systems
• Mechanically minded and able to maintain machinery
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and a good team player
• PA1/PA2 and telehandler certificates desirable (but not essential)

• Hourly rate £16–£17 per hour (circa £45,000 annually depending on experience)
• 2‑bedroom farm cottage available
