As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in East Longmeadow, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visibly present to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Wed 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Thur 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Sat 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and building interiors to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, assist with visitor check-in procedures, and help to maintain orderly entry and exit at the site.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, coordinating with property management and/or public emergency responders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate hazards and/or notable events to the appropriate contacts, and support security-related awareness efforts throughout the property.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
