Overview
Manufacturing Quality Technician Cartamundi - East Longmeadow, MA $20 - $22 an hour Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Quality Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance. In this energetic and detail-oriented position, you will be instrumental in maintaining quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Your expertise will help deliver safe, reliable, and top-quality products to our customers while fostering a culture of excellence and precision.
- Perform thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify product dimensions and specifications.
- Utilize advanced quality management systems like ISO 9001 to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits to evaluate manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement.
- Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for detailed dimensional analysis of complex components.
- Collect, analyze, and document data related to product quality, process performance, and inspection results for continuous improvement efforts.
- Support calibration activities for precision measuring instruments to maintain measurement accuracy.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality systems that promote consistent product quality and regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience working within manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control or quality assurance roles.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 (quality management) and CGMP (current good manufacturing practices).
- Hands-on experience operating inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret measurement data, identify root causes of defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures including conducting quality audits, inspections, and implementing quality management systems.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to uphold high standards of product safety and quality.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills necessary for data collection and documentation.
