Temp Metrology Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional measurement of vehicle components to ensure conformity to drawing specifications.
• Conduct detailed measurement and analysis to aid the part approval process for both internal and external supplier parts.
• Provide dimensional analysis and problem-solving skills to successfully resolve production concerns and enhance overall product quality.
• Conduct dimensional approval of vehicle components to ensure successful release at the correct quality levels during relevant PEP milestones.

• National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of metrology measuring experience (Tactile or Optical).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with measuring software (PC-Dmis, GOM, Polyworks).
• Offline and teach programming experience with CMM facilities.
• Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (Catia preferred).
• Understanding of CMM maintenance and TPM.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience in designing and building measuring fixtures.
• Sound understanding of the vehicle manufacturing process, including Press Shop, Body Shop, Assembly, and purchased parts manufacturing.
