Role Overview
The Municipal Administrator will manage council billing, reporting, and risk management across utilities such as water, electricity, sewer, refuse, gas, and alternative energy solutions. The role ensures accurate accounts, compliance, and strong relationships with tenants, service providers, and local authorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage relationships with landlords, tenants, service providers, and council officials (including BCM).
Open, check, and maintain council and building portfolio accounts, ensuring they are up to date.
Handle tenant and council queries, resolve disputes, and support timely tenant payments.
Perform reconciliations (including BCM accounts), verify municipal bills, and check tariffs.
Conduct reporting, energy assessments, and feasibility studies to optimize costs.
Ensure compliance with acts, bylaws, and internal risk management processes.
Requirements
Experience in the property industry and managing municipal accounts (essential)
Background in creditors, reconciliations, and payments (essential)
Intermediate Excel proficiency
Valid driver’s license
Advantageous:
Knowledge of BCM processes, council queries, and Pastel / SAGE ERP 300
Strong numerical, analytical, and detail orientation
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable under pressure
Team player with strong interpersonal abilities
